"It’s just like magic. When you live by yourself, all of your annoying habits are gone." ~Merrill Markoe
for whatever reason, the other day i found myself singing that song from The Sound of Music about favorite things. while schnitzel with noodles and warm woolen mittens may be some of the maria's favorite things, they sure aren't mine. i'm not really sure what schnitzel consists of, and wool makes me itch. but it did get me thinking about some of MY favorite things...
OSU football games are the best. O-H! I-O!, dotting the 'i', brutus, need i say more?
these are my favorite shoes. they have been through lots of long nights with my friends and i have probably walked thousands of miles in them. like most things in my life, they are desperately in need of repair but i love them just the same.
fact: i like dwight schrute.
seaside, florida. there's no other place like it. the best part is getting to spend a week here with the family every year.
chloe, the wonder dog. she may throw up on me on a regular basis, shed like crazy, take up most of the bed and beg for food, but i love her more than anything.
my mom made me this quilt. i use it every day and i absolutely love it. she really knows what i like.
i love wearing jewelry that no one else has. clockwise from top right:
1) i got this jade buddah necklace from a hibachi grill.
2) this flower bracelet came from a street vendor at a festival.
3) a great turquoise ring that belonged to my grandmother.
4) this is such a cool necklace. it has white glass beads and a coral lobster.
5) this cuff also belonged to my grandmother. it is definitely my go-to bracelet.
6) also from my grandmother. i get the most compliments on this ring.
7) my mom and dad got me this jewelry catch-all for christmas last year.
this is the lilly on my patio that just bloomed the other day. i'm really proud of myself that there have been no plant homicides so far this year.
'where the wild things are' is my favorite book from when i was a kid. i still love it.
